The WellPlayed Project hosted its first online event, which brought together gamers of all skill levels for some casual gameplay fun across the afternoon.
Gamers formed their own squads or were matched in a squad using our playstyle matching algorithm, and squad members who played together across the event received a Valve Family and Friends Game Key thanks to Steam and their support for the WellPlayed Project.
Streamer @RDiddyAU kicked off the event and was then matched in a squad which was live streamed across the afternoon.
There were some awesome in-game moments as squads played Brawlhalla and Path of Exile. Check out this in-game moment!
WellPlayed also partnered with QUT’s eSports Arena and a number of Brisbane gamers joined the online event at their state-of-the-art venue.
RDiddyAU led the fundraising as players used the power of video games to fundraise for Movember. The event raised $850… which we’re pretty happy with for our first online event. We’re keen to grow our squad numbers and streamer ambassadors with events across 2019, so that we’re ready to blast our Movember fundraising next November!
We've had some excellent feedback following the event with loads of game suggestions for future events plus ideas for squad mix-ups and fun cross-squad challenges.
